An Analysis of the Eradicating Diseases in Power Transformer Products in 2011

At the end of September 2011, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine held a quality analysis meeting for national supervised sampling inspections of power transformer products in Dongguan, Guangdong Province in 2011. It also informed the results of domestic quality testing of medium and small-sized power transformers in 2011: a total of 19 provinces and cities have been spot-checked. Eighty-seven kinds of 87 products produced by 87 companies received spot checks and found 22 unqualified products. The main problems were short-circuit impedance and load loss measurements, no-load current and no-load loss measurements, temperature rise tests, and partial discharge measurement items. .

This sampling inspection has been the quality inspection of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) for three consecutive years. We are very gratified that the imminent industry of this quality issue has received the attention of the state authority quality inspection department.

At the meeting, we heard the speech made by Liu Zhuohui, Chief Engineer of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine: “The qualified rate of the transformer industry inspection is lower than that of any industry in the light industry, and the production companies should regard quality as the lifeline of enterprise development and place them in the first place in the development of the enterprise. We must establish a sound quality assurance system and accountability mechanism, earnestly strengthen quality self-discipline, increase technological innovation, and continuously improve the quality of power transformer products."

At the same time, the conference also invited leaders of the National Energy Administration, the China Electrical Appliance Industry Association, the State Grid Corporation of China, and the China Southern Power Grid Corporation to participate together. The purpose was to explore the industry from multiple perspectives, including users, manufacturers, and industry associations. The current problems exist, and discuss the solution. In this issue of “Electrical Outpatient Department”, we have selected the results of the AQSIQ investigation report, and introduced the current purchase of the company’s transformers and the bidding changes of the State Grid Corporation of China and the China Southern Power Grid Corporation.

When quality becomes a stumbling block to the upswing of an industry, when the industry is cooperating to rectify reforms, when the state attaches great importance to industry supervision, we have reason to believe that this is in the midst of “life and death” and struggling with online industries. There will be a turnaround.
