To meet the growing market demand for hybrid input/output connectors, TEConnectivity (TE), the original Tyco Electronics, recently introduced a 0.6mm center-distance high-speed CHAMP docking connector. This series of connectors is designed for high-density, low-profile-thickness (3.8 mm) shielded applications with two rows of contacts distributed on a centerline of 0.6 mm pitch. The contacts on the 0.6 mm centerline can save 30% of the linear board space, and the 3.8 mm thick housing outline can also reduce the height of the connector by approximately 25%. The connector offers a variety of options including right angle sockets, right angle offset sockets, and vertical plugs for docking and cable applications.
TE's 0.6mm centerline high-speed CHAMP docking series connector is designed to meet different industry data transmission standards, including USB3.0, HDMI1.4, and DisplayPort1.2.
