In China Mobile's 2008 annual report, its comprehensive customer satisfaction reached 81.31%. This illustrates two points: First: China Telecom ’s service has a certain gap with China Mobile, but the gap is not very large. Through the efforts of telecom people, it can catch up with China Mobile. Second: The users of China Mobile are not completely satisfied with their services, which makes it possible for China Mobile's mobile users to switch to portability. Due to the huge user base of China Mobile, if 10% of mobile users are transferred to China Telecom, it will be a huge asset to China Telecom.

Second, how to improve user satisfaction

Compared with China Mobile and China Unicom, China Telecom ’s mobile user satisfaction is lower, and there is still a certain gap with China Mobile. At this point, China Telecom needs to step up its efforts. How to improve user satisfaction? First: learn from mobile, and directly apply some better mobile service items and service methods. Second: Learn from users. The users mentioned here are not only their own users, but also competitors' users. Ask users what kind of services they need, and improve their service methods. Through the above two points, user satisfaction can be improved to a certain extent.

3. How to solve the mobile phone terminal transferred to the user

Since China Mobile uses a GSM network, and China Telecom uses a CDMA2000 network, in this case, users of China Mobile are transferred to China Telecom with their numbers. The mobile phone terminal used previously cannot be used on China Telecom ’s network. This will be a huge bottleneck for China Mobile's users to transfer to China Telecom. If this bottleneck is solved, the success rate of mobile users' number portability will be greatly improved.

Fourth, how to treat transfer-out users

Although the current number-carrying network is a one-way network: it can only be transferred from China Mobile to China Telecom or China Unicom, but not from these two operators to China Mobile. However, this situation can only last for a year or two. In the future, the number porting network will be transferred to a two-way network, and users can transfer from any operator to another operator. And another pilot of number-carrying network transfer-Tianjin, has realized two-way network transfer. After the realization of two-way network transfer, how does China Telecom treat its transferred users with a long-term perspective, so that it can be well-integrated, or set up various conditions to restrict user transfer? This is a problem that China Telecom seriously considers.

5. How to improve your own advantages and increase the attractiveness of users

After the number portability is realized, it is not the coverage of the mobile network that attracts the user's attention, but what kind of services can be provided to the user and what problems can be solved for the user. For example, for group users, mobile phone office services are provided, which allows users to be in the car and realize timely processing of official documents.

For China Telecom, its biggest advantage is that it has the largest fixed-line telephone, the largest Internet network, has rich experience in Internet operations, and currently has the best 3G network coverage. In the future competition, how to make full use of these advantages and combine these advantages organically to provide users with a complete set of comprehensive solutions to attract users to use the telecommunications network.
