To further advance this vision, I recommend focusing on the needs of energy development and environmental improvement in Shandong. Initiating the construction of an AC transmission project and establishing a UHV receiving network will enhance grid interconnection between North China and Central China. This will improve grid stability, maximize the transmission capacity of UHV lines, and help ease the pressure of power shortages and emission reduction targets. Additionally, it is advisable to implement a strategy focused on building a strong and smart grid. Emphasizing safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, green energy, and efficiency will drive the integration of multi-energy conversion, intelligent control, and modern information technologies. By updating national energy and power planning, especially the “13th Five-Year Plan,” we can incorporate UHV grid development and related projects. Accelerating the construction of the national Energy Internet will enable the formation of a robust UHV backbone network, ensuring optimal resource allocation and environmental sustainability.
