In recent years, the decreasing cost of LED products and their improved performance have significantly boosted the adoption rate of LED lighting in the market. With their strong energy-saving capabilities, LEDs gained widespread popularity in 2017, helping to reduce electricity consumption and lower carbon emissions effectively.

According to reports, LED lighting saved approximately 193.8 billion kWh of power in 2017, cutting carbon emissions by 178 million tons. This is equivalent to the annual power output of two Three Gorges Dams, which generated around 97.6 billion kWh in the same year.
Although the current market penetration of LED lighting is still relatively low, if all traditional lighting were replaced with LEDs, it could save up to 500 billion kWh annually—equivalent to the power generated by five Three Gorges Dams. The Three Gorges Project, one of the world’s most ambitious engineering feats, took over 50 years to complete and stands as a symbol of modern infrastructure.
Despite being in its early stages, China's LED lighting industry has already achieved impressive results. These accomplishments didn’t come easily, and as lighting professionals, we should take great pride in this progress.

Mulinsen has been actively contributing to this global initiative. The company produces over 2.5 billion LEDs daily and is part of the "Global Lighting Challenge Program." As part of this commitment, Mulinsen aims to sell 3.29 billion LED lamps and 5.77 million LED street lights within the next two years.
Through real action, the company continues to promote high-performance, high-quality, and cost-effective lighting solutions. By doing so, Mulinsen is playing a vital role in addressing climate change and shaping a more sustainable future.
