What is the difference between true and false two-point touch screen?

At present, the two-point touch screen is not uncommon in the market, and it can perform functions such as dragging, zooming in and out of pictures. But careful operators will find that different products, although they support these basic functions, why there are many differences in use?

Infrared technology's 2-point touch screen has two technologies: fake 2 points and true 2 points. The so-called false 2 points means that the technique cannot accurately capture the true coordinates of one of the touch points, but realizes the zooming, reducing and partial rotating functions by changing the relative position of the touched points.

1. In terms of picture rotation:

True 2 points on the touch screen is rotated by 2 different touch points, the picture rotation direction is the same as the touch rotation direction, and there is no error rate;

Fake 2 points on the touch screen by two different touch points to rotate the picture, the picture rotation direction and the direction of the touch rotation are opposite, the same rotation direction of the rotation rate can reach 40%-80%.

2. In terms of writing:

True 2 points can always maintain an accurate response to the touch finger, both hands are crossed at the same time, the line has a broken line, the jump line phenomenon has a failure rate almost equal to zero;

False 2 points have 20%-80% error rate in both hands writing. For example, if both hands are crossed at the same time, the lines will be broken or jumped.

3. During the 2 o'clock operation:

There are almost no two-point drift and ghost point phenomenon. There are two true-point touch screen manufacturers with unstable technical problems, and there are about 5% of ghost points and drift occurrence rates.

False 2-point touch may occasionally occur such as point drift, ghost points, etc., and the occurrence rate is 40%-80%;

1. False 2-point infrared touch screen principle:

Generally, an outer frame is installed in front of the display screen, and a circuit board is arranged in the outer frame, and an infrared emitting tube and an infrared receiving tube are arranged uniformly in the X and Y directions, and the one-to-one correspondingly forms an infrared matrix which is horizontally and vertically intersected. When the user touches the screen, touching the object (finger or other object) will block the horizontal and vertical infrared rays passing through the position, and the controller can judge the position of the touch point on the screen through calculation.

2. True 2 point infrared touch screen principle:

Generally, an outer frame is installed in front of the display screen, and a circuit board is arranged in the outer frame, and an infrared transmitting tube and an infrared receiving tube are arranged in the X and Y directions, and the transmitting/receiving device is scanned by the facing and oblique directions. In a one-to-many mode, a horizontally and obliquely inclined infrared cross array is formed. When the user touches the screen, touching the object (finger or other object) will block the cross-infrared passing through the position, and the controller can obtain the true multi-point coordinate position by calculation.

The traditional infrared touch screen (fake 2-point touch screen) usually only recognizes one point correctly, but when two touch objects are placed, the system actually gets 4 points of data, namely XA, XB, YA, YB, from these four points. The coordinates can be combined into four coordinate points, namely A (XA, YA), B (XB, YB), C (XA, YB), D (XB, YA). When the touch point is two points A and B, the fake 2-point touch screen cannot determine whether the touch position is A, B or C, D. However, when the two touch points A and B are close to each other or separated, the distance between the corresponding pseudo points C and D is also close to or separated from each other. By calculating the relative position, the fake 2-point touch screen can detect both the zoom-in and the zoom-out gestures. However, the fake 2-point touch screen is more prone to misoperation when performing the rotation gesture determination. Generally, when two rotations are required to perform a rotation gesture, one of the points is fixed, the other is a clockwise or counterclockwise relative motion from the upper right of the fixed point, or the touch point is required to be dropped, so that the system can respectively touch the point by the time difference. Real location. However, when the 2 touch points of the 2 touch screen (such as: A and B) are in the horizontal or vertical position, the position of the ghost points (such as C and D) will change, so the rotation is prone to errors. The specific performance is that the direction of the finger movement has not changed, and the operation object, such as the direction of rotation of the picture, has undergone a reverse change.

The fake 2-point touch screen cannot solve the above problems in principle, which will bring instability to the touch operation. According to comparison, the error rate of different touch screen manufacturers in the existing market is between 20% and 80%. The true 2-point touch screen can completely calculate the position of two touch points due to different principles, so there is no such problem.
