Electric Relative Density Meter

Designed for particles smaller than 5mm, suitable for non-cohesive soil and particles between 2-5mm.

The sample quality should not exceed 5% of the total mass.

This instrument is used to determine the maximum density and minimum void ratio of the soil, which helps calculate the relative density.

Complies with Geotechnical Test Procedures SL237-1999 and Highway Geotechnical Test Procedures JTJ051-93.

Instructions for Use:

1. Plug in the power supply and turn on the power switch located on the right side of the device.
2. Lift the striker until the fixed pin is inserted into it to prevent it from falling. Loosen the locking screws on both sides of the metal container, remove it, and load the soil sample according to specifications. Push the container back into place, tighten the locking screw, then slowly pull out the fixed pin to lower the striker.
3. Once the start switch is turned on, the device enters standby mode.
4. Set the timer to the desired time and the instrument will begin operation.
5. At the end of the test, follow the procedures outlined in SL237-99 and SL237--010-99 for measuring relative density.
6. After compaction, lower the hoe, loosen the locking screw, and remove the metal container and casing.
7. After testing, clean any remaining soil from the device, turn off the power, unplug the device, and cover it with the dust cover.
