When the electric switch and disconnector switch fail, first verify that the equipment's double name is correct, ensure the operation procedure is followed accurately, then check if the fuse in the power supply circuit is intact and whether the electrical lock circuit is functioning properly. If any of the following situations occur, immediate action is required: - The rod-shaped porcelain column is severely damaged or shows signs of discharge (including the base). - The rod-shaped porcelain column explodes due to thermal discharge. - Contacts become overheated and welded together. - The transmission mechanism malfunctions and is in an abnormal state. 2. If the knife gate is misaligned (especially in 500kV systems) or not straight, it should be opened again—either remotely or locally. If it’s confirmed that all three phases cannot close simultaneously or remain misaligned, for 220kV systems, adjust using an insulating rod or modify the linkage rod. If adjustments are not possible, the system must be powered down for maintenance. 3. If overheating is detected at the knife gate or busbar contact points, immediately apply for load reduction through dispatch and use alternative equipment like a transfer busbar to manage the load accordingly. Enhance monitoring measures, and if necessary, shut off the power supply promptly. 4. For malfunctioning knife gates, follow these steps: - Confirm the knife gate’s double name and verify that the operating procedure is correct. - Determine whether the failure is electrical or mechanical in nature. Electrical issues should be resolved according to standard procedures. If the problem is mechanical and cannot be fixed, report to the relevant supervisor. - Check if the local knife gate mechanism’s power supply is activated and whether the thermocouple relay has tripped. - Inspect the side door lock small switch on the local knife gate mechanism. - Ensure the travel switch of the local knife switch mechanism is correctly positioned. - Use a multimeter to test the loop step by step and identify the issue. - Unlock any locked operations that cannot be resolved manually. 5. In case the "Isolation Switch Control Power Disappeared" indicator light is on, the power supply to the isolation switch’s relay circuit is interrupted. The #2 main transformer’s loop power is taken from the 9RD and 10RD interface screens. The control loop for the #2 main transformer’s side short lead protection must also be checked. Therefore, power must be restored immediately after a power outage, and the short-lead protection must be addressed as needed. For the 500kV II string (5021, 5022, 5023 circuit breakers), Jiangmao line reactor, and 500kVI/II mother-knife isolation switches, the loop power comes from the respective air switches on the 500kV II string interface screen. The III-separated isolating switch control loop power is drawn from the III-series breaker interface screen, while the IV-separated isolating switch control loop power is sourced from the IV string breaker interface screen.
