The notice also showed that the court ordered Foshan Lighting to immediately pay compensation of more than 9.2 million yuan and pay an implementation fee of more than 120,000 yuan.
In this regard, Foshan Lighting announced today that the company has actively fulfilled its payment obligations since the date of receipt of the judgment. As of July 22 this year, “the information of 801 plaintiffs has been received, accounting for 84 people in this judgment. %, of which 698 plaintiffs’ compensation has been credited to their corresponding accounts, and 103 plaintiffs’ information is being verified.â€
Foshan Lighting further pointed out that some plaintiffs did not provide bank account information, and therefore could not pay compensation, not the company did not fulfill its liability for compensation. For the notice served by the court, Foshan Lighting expressed dissatisfaction and filed an objection.
On June 4 this year, the first batch of investors v. Foshan Lighting Securities false statement case was pronounced in the second instance. The Guangdong Provincial High Court rejected the Foshan Lighting Appeal and upheld the original judgment, ruling that Foshan Lighting compensated the first batch of 955 shareholders for compensation of 60,410,800 yuan. Just one month later, on July 8 this year, the Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court ruled that Foshan Lighting had invested about 14 million yuan in another batch of more than 200 investors.
The reporter learned from the plaintiff's attorney's office that the total number of plaintiffs in Foshan Lighting Securities' false statements was 2,749, and the total amount of litigation targets totaled 384.98 billion yuan, setting a record for the amount of claims for shareholder claims in recent years.
