The resistance is: 22Ω and not 220Ω!

When you see gold or silver in the third ring, it might be confusing. Let me explain clearly. The fourth ring indicates the tolerance—gold means 5%, and silver means 10%. But the third ring represents the multiplier. If the third ring is gold, you move the decimal point one place to the left. If it's silver, you move it two places. This helps you understand very small resistances that are otherwise hard to read.

For example:

1. Color code: orange, gray, gold

The resistance is 3.9Ω.

2. Color code: green, yellow, silver, gold

The resistance is 0.54Ω.

These low-value resistors are rarely used in standard circuits and are typically found in specialized applications. Understanding how to interpret these color codes is essential for accurate component selection and circuit design. Always double-check the values, especially when dealing with small resistances, as even a small mistake can lead to significant issues in your project.
