LG Introduces Ultra-Short-Focus Projector: Projecting 100-inch Screen at 15 inches

On the morning of January 6, LG introduced three Minibea series projectors at CES, all equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, of which the PF1000U projector can be placed only 15 inches (38 cm) away from the wall or screen. 100-inch images can be projected, which is very convenient to use.

According to reports, the PH550, PW1000 and PW1500 products were introduced. The PH550 is the first projector equipped with triple wireless connectivity, because it is compact and does not require any cables. Users can send content from the smartphone or tablet to the projector via the Screen Share with the Wi-Fi mirroring function, and can also use the Bluetooth function to connect wirelessly to the speakers. Built-in rechargeable battery allows continuous use for 2.5 hours without connecting to a power outlet. No one of the currently available projectors has such a high level of connectivity and freedom. The PH550 is less than half the size of standard A4 paper and is easy to carry.

The PF1000U can project a 100-inch image just 15 inches (38 cm) from the wall or screen. The viewer does not need to make a large space for the projector, and there is no need to worry about someone coming before the projection beam. The PF1000U measures only a quarter of the size of commercially available mainstream UST projectors and weighs less than one-fifth, making it the world's first UST projector to weigh less than 2 kg.

In addition to its small form factor, the Full HD PF1000U achieves an amazing 1,000 lumens of brightness, while consuming only one-third of the energy of competing models. In addition, the PF1000U can operate down to 21 decibels in the eco mode. With these advantages, the model became the most advanced UST projector in the world.

The PW1500 is capable of boosting brightness to an amazing 1500 lumens and is the brightest of all LG Minibeam projectors. Whether playing a slide show or presenting a cinematic viewing experience, the PW1000 model can reach a brightness of 1000 lumens, giving users all the outstanding features of the PW1500 at a lower price.

According to reports, the 2016 new Minibeam series projectors will be available in the first quarter of 2016 in major European and US markets.
